God revealed His name to Moses and the Jewish people know it as the “Tetragrammaton.” This is a term that refers to the Hebrew name of God transliterated in four letters as YHWH or JHVH and rendered as Yahweh or Jehovah. The four letters of the Tetragrammaton form the root meaning “to be,” and some have understood the original meaning to be “He-Who-Is,” or “He who brings being into being.”

Yet God reveals Himself by many others names, which are all intended to describe some deep truth about Who He Is for us. In this retreat, we’ll look at the many names God goes by in the Bible and begin developing a fuller picture of all God Is to us. God is multi-faceted and He is all that we need in any situation.
