“Through the Eyes of a Child”
Before the world taught us who we were supposed to be, there was a simpler truth waiting to be discovered — one that children’s books have always known how to tell. In this retreat, we return to that truth through the pages of the stories that first shaped our sense of wonder, belonging, and worth. Together, we’ll open beloved children’s books not as adults looking back with nostalgia, but as seekers looking inward, letting their simple language and honest pictures remind us of something we may have forgotten: that we are seen, we are loved, and we are enough, exactly as we are — and to Jesus’ own words in Matthew 18, where He called a child forward, encouraging us to become like little children on our spiritual
journey.
Through storytelling, reflection, and quiet conversation, we’ll explore how a child’s-eye view of the world can lead us back to a deeper understanding of our identity in God. This retreat is an invitation to sit with those messages again — not as something we’ve outgrown, but as truths that still hold us, gently reminding us of who we are and Whose we are.
Come rediscover your identity, not through striving, but through the wonder, trust, and belovedness of a child in the lap of God’s loving embrace.
